　　出租車(chē)的由來(lái)：1907年初春的一個(gè)夜晚，富家子弟亞倫同他的女友去紐約百老匯看歌劇。散場(chǎng)時(shí)，他去叫馬車(chē)，問(wèn)車(chē)夫要多少錢(qián)?雖然離劇場(chǎng)只有半里路遠(yuǎn)，車(chē)夫竟然漫天要價(jià)，多出平時(shí)10倍的車(chē)錢(qián)。亞倫感到太離譜,就與車(chē)夫爭(zhēng)執(zhí)起來(lái)，結(jié)果被車(chē)夫打倒在地。亞倫傷好后，為報(bào)復(fù)馬車(chē)夫，就設(shè)想利用汽車(chē)來(lái)擠跨馬車(chē)。后來(lái)他請(qǐng)了一個(gè)修理鐘表的朋友設(shè)計(jì)了一個(gè)計(jì)程儀表，并且給出租車(chē)起名“Taxi-car”,這就是現(xiàn)在全世界通用的“Taxi”(的士)的來(lái)歷。1907年10月1日，“的士”首次出現(xiàn)在紐約的街頭。
